STICKY DISPERSANT AND DETACKIFYING AGENT
Every pulp and paper mill faces numerous problems related with sticky contamination during the recycling of pulp, old newspapers (ONP), old magazines (OMG), old corrugated containers (OCC), waste news (offset letter press and rotogravure) and office waste (xerox, heat set, laser or computer printouts). Stickies are a result of hot-melt (wax, tackifying resins, polybutadiene, polyisoprene, vinyl acrylates, natural rubber and SBR). Stickies are also associated with microbiological contamination, various ingredients of inks (waxes, mineral oils, resins, polymers, fatty acids, etc.), coating binders (latex) and pitch (fatty acids/esters and resin acids).
The complex nature of stickies produces detrimental effects during recycling (deficiencies in sheet quality, sheet spots, holes, decreased sheet strength, high dirt count, poor sheet appearance/ coating/printing problems, sheet breaking, deposits on wire, wet felt and dryers, slower machine speeds, excessive down time for cleaning, production loss, etc.). CONSPERCE ST is a solution to these problems. A new generation, environmentally friendly and biodegradable product, CONSPERCE ST acts as a dispersant and detackifying agent for stickies. The chemical properties of CONSPERCE ST allow it to solubilize, emulsify, detackify and neutralize the stickies in the pulp preparation system.
